Check Out What I Stumbled Upon...

One Place in The World You will Never Go..
Mount Weather

Just 46 miles from Washington DC, a mysterious and secretive underground military base exists, located deep inside a mountain near the rural town of Bluemont, Virginia. Mount Weather is virtually an underground city, which is buried deep inside the earth. Eequipped with such amenities as private apartments and dormitories, streets and sidewalks, cafeterias and hospitals, a water purification system, power plant and general office buildings, a small lake fed by fresh water from underground springs, its own mass transit system, a TV communication system. Operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency - FEMA. In the event of nuclear war, declaration of martial law, or other national emergency, the President, his cabinet and the rest of the Executive Branch would be "relocated" to Mount Weather.

Egyptian Eyes Test

I'm reading a fiction book right now called "The Seer Of Egypt (Pauline Gedge) an continue with my obsession/fascination with the lives of the ancient Egyptians.  Fantasizing about the world of the Egyptian cosmetician or body servant, I decided to experiment with an ancient Egyptian look.  This is my test.  Gonna do some tweaks then supply you with a tutorial.  FUN!

Surprisingly, it didn't take too long....

I taught Cleopatra how to do this in my past life ;)

I Find This Fascinating

Marie Thérèse Rodet Geoffrin

I live here in Paris. I rise every day at five o'clock; I drink my two large glasses of hot water; I take my coffee; I write when I am alone, which is rare; I do my hair in company; I dine every day with the king, chez lui, or with him and les seigneurs. I make calls after dinner; I go to the theater; I return to my place at ten o'clock; I drink my hot water; and I go to bed. And in the morning I begin all over again. I eat so little at these great dinners that I am often obliged to drink a third glass of water to appease my hunger. I owe to the severity of this diet my good health. I will be faithful to it until I die.

Hope For Haiti - Yes, Beyonce

Ok, you all know I've had this recent hate thing going on with Beyonce since her last pathetic unsexy trying too hard video, but I think she may have snuck her way into my good books again.  No matter how mad I am with this sister of mine, I can never deny her talent.  She's a freaking amazing singer as reflected here in this passionate, real showcase of her God given talent.  Beyonce, don't ever make another mess of a video like "Video Phone" again, and I will forgive you anything.  This is the most beautiful and real, I've ever seen you.  I couldn't take my eyes off you.  Every passionate note was - perfect.

Hope For Haiti - Beyonce Sings Halo

I was so moved during this fundraiser.  Cried several times, and I don't shed tears often.
On another note, remember that "Beyonce On The Today's Show" post I did?  Well, I found out from my girl's site, "The Daily Julie" that it was a hoax!  Naughty old Howard Stern did it.  Oh well, guess she never does have a bad day.  Wait, she did fall down those stairs durning another ridiculous song "Ring the Alarm" ;)

Wine Update - Am I Immune?

So, last night I went to Funny Guys place to hang out.  When I arrived he surprised me (well, I have been talking about that wine incessantly) with a bottle!  He looked at me as if I were crazy as I bounced around with glee and covered his face with kisses.  He poured me a meaningful sized glass full of the elixir and I exercised restraint (being the lady I am) and daintily sipped away.  Within approximately 6 minutes it was gone and I brazenly held out my empty glass for more.  Well, I had about 3 glasses at his place, then we went to dinner and squealing with joy I found the restaurant carried the very same bottle of Asti!  I had another. That makes 4.  On an empty stomach.  Guess what.  I didn't feel a thing!!!  Nope not even tipsy.  WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME???

I know what your thinking.  "Its only dessert wine Suzanne" right?  But, whateva, I've never been drunk in my life, I should feel something other than eye-rolling-back rapture because it tasted so divine! Okay, it only has 6 point whatchamacalla amount of alcohol, but so what, I'm an egg!  A virgin!  A beginner!  Come on!!   Maybe its psychological or something.  Getting drunk has never appealed to me.  I suppose its because when I went to dances at school or house parties, someone always ended up throwing up on my shoes.  And they looked stupid all night long.  And the next day they were a mess! Those reasons added with the wretched taste, sister, I am so running in the other direction.  I seriously think I'm immune.  Is it possible?  Can it be impossible for me to get drunk?  Maybe my body is so unfamiliar with alcohol, (last year I can count on one hand how many times I had some dessert wine) that it just thinks its rancid grape juice or something.

Reminds me of a horrible time when I was rushed to emergency late at night screaming from excruciating pain shooting down my left leg! Turns out I had Sciatica, which is, as they say, the worst pain you can have next to child birth!  The doctor gave me four Tylenol 3's with Codeine and said it would let up.  10 minutes later, I was still howling the place down and thats when he got to serious work.  He ended up giving me a shot of morphine (right into my thigh), (I think it was morphine, I know it was something Demerol like, but not Demerol ) which didn't work, then gave me Percodan - (which I hear goes for a lot of money on the streets) which didn't work, then finally 3 tranquilizers. That finally did the job.  Gave me all of this in 45 minutes.  Yes, I still felt the pain but I didn't care.  Haha!

Ahh, me..

So what do you think?  Might I be immune???

Go get you some.

Golden Globes Fashion 2010 - Let's debrief!!!

Ok, so the globes were...a tad boring.  No real surprises.  The most memorable moment was when Chloe Sevigny complained how they should have tarp up on the red carpet.  Chickadee seemed seriously peeved and gave a sour puss during an interview and mentioned that now she'll have to pay for it!  Oh dear God!  She will have to actually buy the dress!  Shocking!  Girl, you don't know how good you've got it!  The tastiest morsel was when she got up to accept her award, someone stepped on her gown and ripped it!  "I can't believe someone ripped my dress!" she said!  Hahahaha!  Well, ok it probably cost a couple of thousand, but that is the chance you and Valentino take! I mean girly - you won!  Geez!

Ok enough gossiping about attitudes. Let's get gossiping about the fashion!!!

Cameron
Love the dress.  Fit her like a dream.  Did not like the makeup.  Eyes looked Dead, Lips too Red!
(hey, I made a rhyme!)
Shoes were hot!  Hair was not!
(Ha!  I did it again)

Emily Blunt
LOVE!  Darling colour on her, perfect shape, soft, dreamy, perfect for the Globes.  Accessories lovely.  Perfect, I would say.  Perfect.

Christina Hendricks
Ok, is she real?  She can't be.  Someone drew her I'm sure.  Some dude, I'm betting.  If there was going to be a somewhat human version of Jessica Rabbit, she would be it.  HATED the dress.  Loved her for making such a mistake.  Such a HUGE mistake.  (what is holding that up?  gotta be some seriously uncomfortable contraption)

Sandra
HATED IT!  And what's with the hair?  Looks like you took a nap on one side in the limo and neglected to fix it! Loved her speech though.

Jennifer
LOVED IT!  Yea, some may say its too simple, but I thought it a perfect fit. Elegant and effortless.  Is it me or does anyone else think this is a stick it too Angelina dress?  I could see her in it. But Jen wore it first!  Hehe!  Love the shoes too.  I actually didn't know her legs were so good...

Nice!  Butler, I know you only date the sisters!

Fergie
Nice dress, nice color, but girl, I think you could have done better.  Something about this didn't "sing".  The "note" was off key.  Hahaha!  (ok, I'll stop).   Might be the fit at the boobs or something, and I must say, I do miss the blonde hair.  You are just not shining Fergie Ferg!  I'm ambivalent.

Chloe
The aforementioned - HAHAHHA!  Yeah, your smiling now.  Won't be so much when you get the bill!  Hahahaha!  I did like the gown though in a "holy ruffle Batman!" kinda way.

Kate Hudson
I like this dress.  Some may think I'm nuts, but there is something about it.  Definitely interesting.  Couldn't keep my eyes off it.  I kinda had to say "lemme see it again???" to make a decision.  I didn't HATE it.   It was memorable.  Do HATE the shoes though.  I get what she was going for, this is a very artistic piece.  Artistic.  Yes, I would say, I appreciate the dress.  Only Kate could pull it off.  Can you imagine it on the below...

Mariah (you are not on fiya)
HAHAHA!  NO YOU DID'UNT!  What in the world were you thinking?!!!  Oh my gosh...have you seen this woman's closet?  It isn't a closet, its a freaking clothing store!  You couldn't find something that compliments your figure??  Oh Mariah, when I see mistakes like this I have to wonder - do you not have any friends?  I would bolt up your door missy.  YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE DRESSED LIKE THAT!!!

Look honey, look, you have so many other choices....
Moving on...

Julianna Margulies
HATED it!

Julia
Meh.

Is that a statue?  Oh wait, it has nipples.
NiCOLD Kidman.  Hahaha, I'm so funny.
Whateva, we all have nipples.  This dress was well, "sloppy"

Tina Fey
HATED IT!  Nice shape, looks like a carpet though!

Sofia Vergara
LOVED IT!  Love her.  Beautiful construction, lovely fit.  Deep rich colour. Stunning, sexy, confident! Her hair and makeup rocked too and she carried this dress elegantly and with panache!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Zoe
My new favorite!  She seems so approachable and you know I'm obsessed with Avatar!
LOVE IT!  This dress was fabulous!  Trashy fun, young and elegant.  LOVE the color!  Perfect for her skin tone.  Fit could have been better, but it looked comfortable and has an attitude.  Very memorable!  I did not love her hair though.  It kinda fell apart and the length didn't suit the dress.  But she was pretty radiant and seemed so relaxed!

Love you Miss Pandora!

Mickey
Hahaha!  No words!

Heidi & Seal
Mikey, take note please!  Perfect couple!

and now, the star of the night...
My pick of the most fabulous...

Behold Halle!

Halle Berry, must you be so beautiful.  This dress is unique, risky, fits you like it was sewn on. Sexy, simply stunning.  Hair and makeup - flawless.
The children in my village will sing of you!

Ok, your turn.  What do you think????
